Abilities Church!

I have been in conversation with their pastors since they were founded just over a year ago. They have attended some of our CH events, and are equally impressed with our ministry.  Their goal is not to create a ‘disabilities’ church – but rather to create a place of worship where all are fully included in all aspects of church community. Currently, they are located in the Toronto area at a couple of sites. However, their dream is to go provincial, national and in due course, international.  I’m hoping that we can be part of helping them expand thoroughout the province. This is not a ‘special’ separate program, but truly a new and exciting alternative experience of church.   Their music is excellent; their speakers are great (excluding me, they were desperate ).

They are not connected with any one denomination or group – but open and inviting to all. It is also their hope and mission to inform, influence and inspire churches throughout the country to become more aware and inclusive of those with various disabilities.

If you’re in the Toronto area and looking for something different on a Sunday Night, check it out. You’ll be glad you did!  If you’re supporting in one of our homes, consider inviting those you support to attend. They will have a great, encouraging and spiritually uplifting time.
